Liverpool are 32nd in the European coefficient. Pot 3/4.

and the rags will be hit massively by scoring zero points next season they could over the next two seasons effectively see their points halved pushing them towards pot 3
the five year coefficient meant to protect them could really bite them in the arse that zero will drag them down for five years

god bless wee Davey I really miss him
They might just scrape Pot 1 in 2015/16 if they qualify but it will be close. Even if they do, they lose their biggest points haul as that was for the season they got to the final. If by some chance they finish 7th or worse again and don't qualify at all then it's going to be very difficult for them. Even if they do and don't do particularly well, they're going to lose quite a few points (maybe as many as 15-20 depending on how they do). We should then overtake them in the rankingsa for 2016/17.

They will change the regulations if the rags fall out of pot 1. And if Liverpool do get CL next year I am sure there will a clamour for Pot 1 to be only for Champion League winners.

I wish you were correct but they'll still score Englands co-efficient for the upcoming season, usually about 3.5 points. Fingers crossed for the season after too.

They've no chance, PB. The top 7 this year are Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, Benfica, Athletico, Arsenal and should be joined by Schalke, Dortmund and PSG due to them getting rid of a 3.0 year. Porto should also finish above them too. That's 11 above them so that allows for one or two shocks.
We'd need to win it to have a chance of overtaking them but we should be firmly ensconced in Pot 2 with the rags, should they qualify for the year after.
Happy Days.

Really?
do all English sides get this even if they don't qualify for the champions league/Europa?

Yes mate.

Check the English clubs on the year they didn't qualify for Europe.

thanks but they will still loose 33 points meaning we should go above them and they then suffer that 3 points for five years

they will go from 100 points down to about 67
we should with luck pick up 15-20 points taking us into the 90's

--------------------------------------------------------10/11----------11/12-----------12/13-----------13/14------------Total
6. Manchester United--------------------36.6714 -------16.0500--------21.2856--------26.3570--------100.364
17. Manchester City------------------------16.6714--------20.0500--------10.2856--------22.3570---------69.364

United will lose 36.6714 points from 2010/11, and will get around 3.5 points next season.
that would leave them with around 68 points.

We will lose 16.6714 points from 10/11 so we'd just need to match that season to overtake the rags, this season we managed 22.357 points.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Rags in pot 2 :))))
Bless you Wee Davey, Bless you!

Don't forget to tell any raggy arse friends all about it.
And that's if they actually QUALIFY AT ALL.
The year after, if they don't qualify this coming season, they will almost certainly drop to Pot 3.
Happy days.
