The four players we have lost were never starters in our strongest eleven , all four of them spent more time on the bench than playing last season , no doubt they were all experienced and valuable members of the squad but all four apart from Dinho in his prime are replaceable.
Haaland was the most coveted striker in europe and we got him , Alvarez the current South American footballer of the year and Phillips had proven in two seasons in the Premier league and at top level international football that he is very capable.
In my view we need one more signing ideally Cucerella from Brighton for a left back spot were we have struggled to find a natural left sided full back for a few seasons , but generally i am happy with the transfer business always sad to lose four stalwarts who gave everything for the shirt , but we have replaced them with similar quality players who will give exactly the same.
If we had lost any of Dias , Cancelo , KDB , Bernardo , Foden , Gundo , Laporte , Stones , Ederson , Rodri , Walker then i would have been more concerned because these players when fit more than likely start the big games and replacing any of these would have been tough.
Looking forward to a new season with supreme optimism under the best coach in world football backed by the best mangement team whilst also hoping that a couple more of our academy players make a break through, its a brilliant time to be a blue.
