Liverpool Post Match Thread

The worst thing about Saturday's result is all the Liverpool fans who've been very quiet for years have suddenly appeared again. I got "form is temporary and class is permanent" texts from two people who haven't spoken to me about football in years.

Our wretched performance will play up to their sense of entitlement for years. We really need to win in Anfield this season to send them back under their rocks again.
+1

I suggest you tie yourself to a chair and watch the entire match and then state that we were a bit unlucky
Yes I watched it live as the shit strom unfolded . We were shit but we did create few chances. It's hard to get over it and I understand but it is not healthy for every one to be stressed out. We got some important games ahead to look forward and I hope the team and the manger responds accordingly.

Haha! That's all fair enough but it's a long way from "we could have got a point" which was your original post. On chances alone we could have been at the wrong end of a 7-3 drubbing.
We do need to put it to bed now and look forward. There's no point dwelling on it much longer. Tomorrow brings a new challange.

Agreed.let's save our stress hormones for tomorrow :)

Wrong forum pal - get back to me when you want to discuss Footy!
Well if you think " we could have won 6-3" is a reasonable response to me pointing out that on the balance of play and chances created, we could easily have lost 1-7 then I most certainly won't get back to you to discuss footie. I like that people on here have different opinions but for me it is a prerequisite that there is at least some basis in reality.

No we don't. We just need to finish nicely ahead of them in the league. Which Liverpool fan ever talks about the the Candle match now?

Agree with this. And in the big picture this isnt that important. Remember despite the 1-6 drubbing, the Scum got themselves into a position where they could and really should have won the title. We lost 4 of our first 12 matches 2 years ago and won the title with 86pts. I think 84 could do it this year, the way things are going. It would be a big surprise if we are not right there at the end; and if (somehow) Kompany, Silva and Aguero can stay fit and play most of the remaining games, anyone with an iota of football sense would still put us as favourites.

I think the majority of City fans, no matter what they think of the manager or how disappointed they are with what happened on Saturday would still think we have a half decent chance of winning the title. My view on it currently though is that given the strength of squad we have and how Chelsea have inexplicably crashed and burnt so far, the management and players should be looking at themselves and thinking that they should have taken a fairly good grip of this league already this season. I know we have had important players out but so have plenty of our rivals. No doubt that so far this season, in terms of the league anyway, has been one huge missed opportunity. Plenty of time to put it right though I suppose.

If you genuinely do value other opinions, take some time to read posts properly before making puerile responses which make you come across as a complete clown.
