Liverpool - post match thread.

The thing is, the mood music is changing all the time. We are now being massaged and conditioned to think top four will be a remarkable achievement.

We have hired in possibly the most expensive manager in the world to direct one of the most expensively assembled squads. The least I expect is a dogfight in the title race, which I still hope to see, not some unseemly scrabble for CL qualification and a promise of jam tomorrow. I also expect to see players sweating blood for the shirt. If that's being entitled then fcuk it, I'm guilty.

Pretty much where I am right now too. I think it's unforgivable to lose a game against your nearest rival for the title and in the manner we did; another sucker punch created by our own ineptitude right at the start of the game....mentality has been mentioned a lot and you can see why.

I've seen us play much better against much better Liverpool teams

I've seen us play much better with vastly inferior squads......we can all over intellectualise how to play the game but at the end of the day it's about taking the players you have, forging a team, and winning games.

The shape of the team is wrong. We started the season superbly. We had shape. Gundogan got fit, we included him and lost shape (no specific left forward). We had sane and Sterling against Arsenal and we had shape. Yaya comes in and the shape is gone again (no specific left forward).

We need to start playing Sterling and sane/Jesus as often as possible with silva and kdb central. We have rarely gone back to the shape that served us so well for the start of the season.

Over priced over paid players who think they are better than they are. Guaranteed to balls it up.Do what I do and bet on the opposition to win and a Ushited win. You may end up miserable but you will be quids in.

The words you use are very telling. There is no "mood music". Your expectations are exactly that, yours. Nobody is conditioning you, you're conditioning yourself.

bluwes, people get paranoid on here when someone says something they don't agree with. Been going to City since 67, season ticket holder since 95 and sold programmes in the 70s. And when I lived on the south coast I travelled to all home games with my son the season they were relegated to third tier.
The south coast eh? Def a rag bet you've got your Rooney pugies on now watching mutv
