Didn't stop Hazard choosing Chelsea over us, add pensioners

Was that Chelsea champions league winners, regular semi finalists, FA cup winners, twice league winners in the past 5/6 years, one of the highest payers in the league who are buying up a heap of young and exciting talent?

Just a little bit of difference between them and Liverpool.

So players reputations had no influence on the choice of club? That's what you were alluding too. If that is not the case i completely agree with you

I'm saying that the opportunity to play with Gerrard and Suarez wouldn't convince any player to change his mind and join Liverpool.

Sorry mate i think you may have not understood what was going on in the debate, i was putting a spin on the calibre of players at any choice of club, the debate was around Liverpool and Arsenal, the players mentioned were Adam and Henderson. No matter what you say Gerrard and Suarez are fine footballers. I could have mentioned Chamakh and Djourou, but didn't, or the fact they have not won a trophy for 7 years, or the fact that for the last 2 years have been selling the world class players on there books. Its all opinion, nothing more. Like i said lets see what unfolds and as long as it doesn't affect City it will be very interesting.

ok but if he was a worldbeater he would not be going to lpool and thats just a fact. The idea that Brandan Rodgers a few months into managing lpool has stolen a march and knows more about this player than every other manager is just ludicrous.

That's another conversation, don't underestimate the pull and reputation of Liverpool, fair enough they are not competing at the moment but the name and support across europe is still in evidence

Your comment about worldbeaters not being released by Real and Barca, Yaya was not really wanted by Barca, allowed him to leave as they fancied Mascherano more, as Real do now with Modric. Mistakes or different opinions of players occur.

Rubbish Josep Guardiola stated he didn't want to let him go but Yaya wanted to go to Manchester city

Guardiola was playing the game, one to raise the price we would have to pay two to be diplomatic to a player who had given Barca great service. He had already made it perfectly clear that he was going to play Busquets or Mascherano in front of Yaya. Do you really think if that wasn't the case he would have left them?

He didn't say it while we were negotiating a deal he said it about 6 months after he was a city player!

Yaya wanted to move because Barcelona was taking the mick out of him he was on 30k a week at Barcelona!

So he moved because of the improvement on his contract and to play regular football, Barcelona wanted to keep him for a different option like we have Dzeko Balotelli different options

No, I understand what you are saying. I just don't agree that Suarez and Gerrard are the calibre of players that would attract anyone to a club.

You could have mentioned Chamakh and Djorou but they aren't close to the Arsenal first XI. Adam and Henderson are the sort of players a prospective signing would be looking to play alongside.
