I thought we'd established that Uefa weren't looking at anyone unless they are currently in a European comp - which they aren't.

No, that looks more like liverpool leaked some bollocks to the press, the ffp rule states that every club that wish to participate in uefa competition have to pass ffp first from now on.

That's absolutely not what it says, and its on here too

Are you relying on that website for information?

Ed is a sometime visitor here and has been comprehensively shown to be wrong on many occasions.

Are you relying on that website for information?

Well, yes. Happy to be proved wrong if you've something better. The 7th March update shows a Uefa source confirming it.

Did he confirm that they would look at the 76 and no-one else?

No?

Carry on then.

Without going into a rant about this idiot, he has absolutely no grounding in accountancy or law and lacks any understanding of the regulations involved, he doesn't have any contacts at uefa and when writing articles makes up facts to suit himself, such as claiming memorably in one article that a 16 year old denis suarez was being paid 150,000 a week. He's also imo a rag and desperate to see city disqualified, although he denies this.

Well, yes, they did. It's been picked up by our Press, confirmed by Uefa and no rebuttal from anyone else.

I don't want to row with you but surely if they were in trouble it'd be picked up and reported. As it is it's gone quiet.

Again, if you've something that proves your view point me to it.

Still think they'll finish third.

@rico I keep a very close eye on uefa announcements and they've said no such thing. They said that right now they're looking at clubs that were involved in the cl and el this year and that they hadn't had time to look at every involved club. Also, to apply the regulations to some participating clubs and not others would violate basic principles of law, that the law has to be applied equally and fairly as written across the board and uefa's lawyers know if they fail to do this then anyone appealing against a sanction is virtually guaranteed to be successful.

Oh well, I suppose time will tell.

Congratulations on Red Scouse winning the title tonight. Listening to radio phone in's and my social feeds seems to have confirmed it.

With the mass euphoria and celebrations at the bus drive in and songs and diddies of winning the league, I think we may as well play our kids for the remaining games. Give them some experience. I'm sure we'll be in with a shout next season.
