No.

He brings back players when his favourites are injured/suspended/leave.

His tactical stubbornness and incompetence cost Liverpool the title last year.

Correct.

That and his belief that any team can defend.

Not sure how his tactical stubbornness cost them the the title. He made a big tactical error against Chelsea, but there is nothing stubborn about making a mistake. Liverpool had blown away Arsenal and even City (City recovered and should have won) in the first half. His mistake was not realising that Chelsea would sit back, but not stubborn.

The lack of European football and certain players settling in has helped them. Moving Gerrard from defensive midfield another great idea. The good thing about Rodgers is he is not a stubborn manager. He is quite prepared to change things that are not working and bring back players like Sakho/Lucas that other managers would be too proud too.

I wonder how he will juggle the Europa League, because he has a shot at top 4. He has found a formation that works and it's back to their high energy pressing game. I guess Balotelli will be sold either in January or the summer though.

To be fair the only reason Sakho and Lucas got a look is because Lovren and Allen got injured. It'll be interesting to see if Allen suddenly starts starting a bunch of league games.
It maybe the case, but that is still more than a lot of managers do. Even some of the best managers refuse to go back on decisions they have made. Rodgers is still young and learning. When he first came to Liverpool he wanted to play the slow possession football of a Swansea/Everton, but he changed to the direct high pressing team of last season.
