Liverpool players haven't got much training done today.

Mario Balotelli brought his Premier league medal in so they all had a turn holding it.
Until it got to Stevie G and it slipped out of his hands.

Everyone man and his dog in the media keep bleating on about how Brendan is the man to get the best out of Balotelli because he's this fantastic man-manager and tamer of big egos. But what exactly is this based on? What egos has he actually handled? Henderson, Flannaghan and mignolet?

He tried to handle Suarez. And failed.

Wrong. He bottled it and let Suarez do what he wanted, terrified of a transfer request. Suarez bit two people and got his transfer.

I wouldn't even say Suarez is a big ego. He's bloody nuts, but by all accounts he's a great trainer and has a good attitude towards the team. On a day to day basis, I imagine him being quite easy to handle.

How did he fail?

Well either way he hardly 'handled' him, did he.

IMO he didn't have to. After the approach by Arsenal, I'm sure an agreement was reached for him to leave at the end
of the season. So Suarez got his head down and trained/played hard, knowing he was moving on.

Awesome game, we were well and truly beaten. We are not there yet. Top 4 we can do, title challenge no.

Coutinho is not a wide forward, and also sometimes Rodgers will have to suck it up and go defensive. Markovic looks decent, but lamberts looking out of his depth.

You are clearly the best team in the league and I hope you go on and win it. Much classier than that blue London team.

Liverpool have improved the depth, but they lack genuine world class players. They are going to miss Suarez badly this season, because he gave them that extra spark. If Rodgers can keep them fourth then maybe next season they can address this by buying some true world class players or at least gambling with world class players.

Where's that prick who was talking shit a few days ago? Redlion or something?

RAWK highlights

Horrible. Can't say any more or I suspect I'd be banned for a long time.

Night all.

Fuck. Undeserved. But that's football.

De ja vu with our defense.

Is Lovren an improvement on Agger?
I'm sure someone, somewhere will find positives from this.

However, it was a clusterfuck of a night where everything that could go wrong, went wrong. 0 points, lots of questions and very pissed off Liverpool fans.

Great to see the defence has got worse, as well as the attack.

It's dawning on them that they've mostly squandered the Suarez money. Deja vu when you consider how they used the Torres money

Why? Because we didn't beat the best team in the league at their place?

Too early to make sweeping conclusions other than you are looking very settled and assured, while we have a Gerrard problem.
