Question to Mark Lawrenson in the Metro this morning:

Wenger said the financial clout of clubs like Man City is destroying competition, is he right?

This utter thick ****s answer, and I quote!

"Although I think he's probably been there a year too long, I'm a big Wenger fan and I think he is right, City are spending £50 million on full backs and know teams like Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs can't afford to pay those prices"

Don't get me wrong I've always thought he was an utter prick but it beggars belief the shit, ****s like him are paid to spout unchallenged....!

What Lawrenson meant was that at present Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool cannot afford to pay £50 million for a full back. It is undeniable that Man City can as they have done just that very recently. What's the beef with him, he's only stating the truth after all.

Must good gear your smoking in Liverpool mate, if they wanted, all of the top 6 could afford to pay £50m for a full back, they just chose to spend it on other positions
