I'm sure if all Liverpool's many fans put a £1 each in a hat they could easily afford a £50 million defender, to go with the £75 million one they bought recently who has made such a massive difference to their defence.

Interesting article - particularly in the way it references not just Liverpool but the rest of the big clubs and why their claim that we are spending all the money is a false diversion by their owners. Simple fact is if we are performing as we are this season we have to emulate it next season. Its then up to them all to raise their game to be competitive and challenge - you don't make a league competitive by pulling your best performers down to the level of those who aren't performing as well.
