Well,according to Romford,we'd be doing their poor little club a favour as they need the cash.

Well we spent about £30 million on 4 full backs Gomez, Robertson, TAA and Clyne, although Nat hasn't played all season. We traded Coutinho, Lucas and a few makeweights to buy Salah, VvD and the Ox. We'll buy Keita and maybe a goalie with our profits from this season, anything else would be a bonus but I'm not optimistic tbh.

As much as I hate your fucking team I hope you finish above the rags

Well we're not made of money like some clubs but we will do our best to be competitive. We can improve next season whereas you guys will be hard pushed to improve in the league over what you've achieved this season so far. I suspect that you will be strengthening your squad further in order to maintain your efforts next season. For us its a case of our young defence developing as a unit and cutting out the silly mistakes.

Not sure if you’re being serious, but I’ll bite.

In the '70s and '80s, under Shankley and Paisley, Liverpool were brilliant.

However, the success and domination, as it has been at all clubs since that period. with the possible exception of Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough and Peter Taylor, was built on money, as the Moores family, who owned Liverpool, also owned Littlewood's pools.

The fees might have been smaller than they are today, but the effect was still the same.

I wish people would stop pronouncing Firmino as "Fir meen-yo". There's no "h" in it. Some are even writing it (on here) with an "h".

I think they get mixed up with Coutinho, Fernandinho, etc. It's "Fir-meeno", please. I had to email Jimmy Wagg on Radio M/cr years ago to ask him to stop saying "Hoe-zay" Mourinho, as he is not Spanish. Wagg did read it out, however, and has not sinned in that respect since. I take credit for that.
