Spirit of Shankly supporters' union put out a statement urging the Reds to take the fight to UEFA after Roma's prices were revealed.

It read: “Liverpool are known, and respected, for their travelling support and clubs know they will sell out, even at high prices. But this is neither fair or right. We should not be asked to pay more than other supporters.

It's weird isn't it.

Liverpool's fans coach attack hearing isn't until the 31st if May. After the CL is over. But in the meantime, Liverpool get invited by UEFA to participate in a working group about ticket prices. How cosy.

Once again, the spirit of Shankley and other Liverpool groups are dictating to FSG and LFC. And as per, FSG and LFC are happy to oblige, not wanting to upset their support.

I hope Liverpool draw United in next season's CL. The coach welcoming will be interesting. And so will the repocussions. Let's see how the United Loving media react. And let's see which side the media in general take.

Maybe they put the prices up for certain fans to cover the cost of the extra policing they have to put on.

I don't condone violence. Having said that the irony of Liverpool FC worrying about their supporters safety at an away match is staggering. Considering from the '70's until now they,or the Merseyside Police never gave a fook about away fans safety travelling to either Klanfield of Woodison. In all those years the Merseyside Police attitude was,"Be on your way to the ground,if you get attacked,sod you,you shouldn't have come". They are the nearest port to America,but like them,they don't get irony. If they get a hostile reception it may change their attitude to the security surrounding their own home games. But I doubt it.
 
Like you say, FSG, LFC, and their fans are shitting it now.

Where was all this concern from FSG and LFC for the City staff and players when they knew about and incited the coach ambush by Liverpool fans, while Merseyside Police watched on and did nothing?

Note the bold and underlined bit. LFC weren't frustrated at getting the new City coach route and arrangements out to their fans. They f***ing knew well what was going to happen, and decided to use the attack by Liverpool fans to shake up the City players, and to give the Liverpool players an advantage on the night.

It is believed the Premier League club have been left frustrated by the process of getting basic and essential information about arrangements for the game on 2 May.

Liverpool's issue is with the Italian authorities rather than Uefa or Roma, who have been working with the Merseyside club.

Reds officials are willing to supply additional funding in order to ensure there is a secure shuttle service for supporters to and from the ground for the 19:45 BST kick-off.

They want clarity on what time supporters can arrive at the ground, ticket and baggage procedures and access out of the stadium after the game.

Liverpool also want to know which areas should be avoided by their fans and what routes to the stadium are the safest if they are unable to use the shuttle.

What they are afraid of is large, organised gangs of ultras attacking Liverpool fans.

The kind if stuff we didn't seem to face when we visited Roma. Wonder why?

Just had a look on Twitter & the abuse the express journalist is getting for mentioning the club could very well look internally.

The bullying & intimidation has begun, his career is fcked no one will possibly consider any of the article may be valid.

At no point did he say the poor bloke deserved it, at no point did he say Liverpool fans were responsible for Hillsboro. I felt the point made was that if you have been involved in a tragedy you would expect everyone would be super cautious in the future.

As soon as you say Heysel the attack dogs are out.
 
Were there two Heysel Stadium Disaster's?
The one I remember was caused by drunken mayhem, resulting in a lengthy ban from Europe, and a number of people imprisoned.
