Funny how they wanted to send us home with our tails between our legs but when they are likely to be on the receiving end of some serious violence they go crying to their mummy. Fucking arsewipe of a club.

It would serve them right if the Rome Police said "We'll give you the same protection as the Merseyside police gave us and Manchester City. We'll escort your team coach through a mob of Ultras and allow them to get a good vantage point on our police vans. We'll take no action when they pelt you with incendiary devices, bricks and bottles. We'll let your fans wander around without an escort so they're an easy target. Now fuck off."

This bit from that press report is interesting and echoes what most of us have been saying:

How dare they ;)

I hadn’t seen that quote, has the spirit of Shankley condemned it.

This is part of Liverpool's punishment.

Liverpool Echo.

Responding to fans' concerns, Anfield officials approached UEFA this week to discuss the issue and following high level talks the governing body have stated that they are 'sensitive' to the inequality of ticket pricing.

Liverpool will participate in the working group as they seek a solution to the ongoing problem.

Spirit of Shankly supporters' union put out a statement urging the Reds to take the fight to UEFA after Roma's prices were revealed.

It read: “Liverpool are known, and respected, for their travelling support and clubs know they will sell out, even at high prices. But this is neither fair or right. We should not be asked to pay more than other supporters.

Respected?????!!!!!!!

It's weird isn't it.

Liverpool's fans coach attack hearing isn't until the 31st if May. After the CL is over. But in the meantime, Liverpool get invited by UEFA to participate in a working group about ticket prices. How cosy.

Once again, the spirit of Shankley and other Liverpool groups are dictating to FSG and LFC. And as per, FSG and LFC are happy to oblige, not wanting to upset their support.

I hope Liverpool draw United in next season's CL. The coach welcoming will be interesting. And so will the repocussions. Let's see how the United Loving media react. And let's see which side the media in general take.

Has anyone associated with that club admitted liability or the blame for anything anywhere ever that involved them?

Has the article been taken down?

The link goes straight to the red dippers' homepage.

An apology was put up on the Express Website at 21:24 tonight, apologising to the club and supporters for the article being "ill informed and wrong" ... Journalist suspended

I do hope Liverpool fans get ran all over Rome.

Sadly, the fucking morons that cause all this can’t afford tickets and won’t be there.

Either way they’re all, and yes a sweeping generalization, a bunch of victim playing ****s.

They'll go there, do the usual English twat abroad thing of throwing shit from a distance while yelling "come on then", then cry when the Romans kick the shit out of them. But they'll get to play the victim, which is all they really want in life
