And why not? They're a selling club and have the morals of an alleycat.
It's not too long ago, I can remember that embarrassment of a club issuing a statement apologising to the Southampton directors and fans for tapping up Van Dijk and clearly stating, "We respect Southampton's position and can confirm we have ended ANY interest in the player".
Fast forward a few months and hey Presto!

To be fair, they have most games wrapped up by half time.
It's just that games are 90 minutes long, and having thrown games away, that guy still stands in front of that camera, and despite his anguish and anger, somehow manages to take a positive slant. He is hilarious and more than slightly odd. He and that club are well suited. Jokers
