I was out with a couple of Port Vale and Stoke fans last night. They said to me that we need City to win the league and not the scousers, because we'll never hear the end of it.

Seems to me the only people who want them to win the league, are themselves and the media.

Funny how any mention of a " my uncle worked with a bloke who had a cousin who married a bloke whose father worked with a bloke who went to school with a bloke who knew a scouser who fed his children ciggy butts for dinner" is met with roars of approval. Dey do doh don't dey doh. When I point out that City may have fans who cause trouble is totally ignored. Thanks for proving my point.

Watched a bit of AFTV recently, both Claude and Ty wanted Liverpool to win. Robbie is also on Liverpool's side going by past comments. Small sample but I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal fans cheering on Liverpool as they have no particular rivalry with them.

Oh no...believe me the number & range of different football club supporters (even from different leagues) who I’ve bumped into these past few months including Gooners & Rags have all stated to me the same thing, please don’t let Liverpool win the league.

It seems it’s not so much the team but the supporters who are despised & the inevitable “we will never hear the end of it”.

Leicester's title win is as impressive as it gets and we rarely hear that now in the media. Even if Liverpool win the title, by next January the focus will be on the title race. 6 months is the max they are going to gloat over it, and even then the world knows they have been helped massively by the refs.
