Totally agree, considering the way City eased past United, Liverpool seemed poor to me with their physical dominance, shots on goal and the sheer incompetence of nearly every United player in that game.

The shots on goal thing is where we can learn something imo, the fact that they had so many, without actually creating very much at all.

They chanced their arm & it worked out for them in the end.

To be fair, Liverpool absolutely battered them for the first 30 minutes and should've been more than a goal up by the time United fortuitously equalised.

So far there have been injuries on Henderson x 2, Mané, Wijnaldum, Gomez x 2, Matip x 2, Lovren x 2, Alexander Arnold, Milner and a couple of injuries to Origi and Solanke. If that is unbelievable luck, I don't want to be around when Liverpool are unbelievably unlucky.

How can Henderson, Origi , Solanki, and Milner missing be detrimental to the team, and Matip and Lovren ??

You make it sound as though they are important players .

Imo, had they defended properly & lumped it effectively, they would have got something.

Their pathetic attempts to pass the ball resulted in them losing it almost every time & their defence played like a bunch of amateurs.

Liverpool mostly failed to cash in on one of the worst rag performances in 30 years & had no invention whatsoever.

Yep Mourinho has changed how he plays usually its everyone behind the ball and hoof it down the channels hit really good teams on the break.

Perhaps they might have been, had they not persisted in trying to flick the ball through a stationary wall of 6 Utd players.

As soon as they hit a decent pass over it, they had Ashley Young stood two yards behind, playing them onside.

I thought both teams were dumb pretty much throughout, rags much worse obviously.

Looking at the respective performances by City and the dippers against the rags, our performance was so much more composed and controlled .

Whilst the opposition was utter shite on both occasions , I thought the dippers didn't have the same authority or control as City throughout the whole game.

No. That is your spin, and your cherry picking. I was simply stating that Liverpool have hardly been lucky with injuries.

But if you like to discuss it, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Mané, Gomez and AA have all been part of the arguably "strongest" lineup, that (when available) have been used in our most important games. Same for Mané.

Whose your most important player? And who do you think is City’s?

Which team has been less lucky ?

And that is your spin on it, but the players I picked out are not top first team players imo , and therefore have less of an impact when missing . However I believe that is where the real problems lie, ie the quality of your squad.

Anyway so far you are still holding up but I don't expect you to be there at the end .
