No they just keep mentioning it so that when it doesn’t happen they can say we failed in our attempts to achieve it
Further than that, I can see a few of them trying to make out we've gone backwards if we were to end with equal to or less than our trophy haul from last season and less than 100 points and trying to paint the rags and dippers as the improving and on the up teams. Keeps the rag and dipper muppets excited and reading their articles all summer, especially if we're given a transfer ban. Stats will show we're playing to par this season (we were a little over last season, think the exG had us finishing on 95 points) and Liverpool are well above par as are the rags. What the media don't want is the legions of dippers and rags realising is that we're still well ahead of the other teams in this league and they need to make huge strides this summer to challenge us again next season as we'll post over the 90 point mark again.

Indeed, which is why they’re all best ignored

Chelsea came closest in 2007. They'd won the League Cup, went on to win the FA Cup, were in the title race (finished runners-up) and only went out of the CL after their SF with Liverpool. So up to May 1st they were still in with a shout of the quadruple.
Yeah, they were big underdogs in that title race by the time the FA Cup and CL were being talked about seriously though.
We could well finish with the same season, but we're in a much better position than they were in the league, against a mentally weaker rival.

Reports today that dippers are lining up world record bid for 21 year Portuguese defender.Ruining football, buying the title, coutinho money blahblah.fucking hypocrite klipperty after saying he wouldn't spend loads of money like city.what a prick
He backtracked on that one.

When challenged about that statement, Klopp said he'd 'changed his mind'.

When he got to the European Cup final last year, probably thought, 'I wish I'd changed my mind sooner'!

Hee Hee, the feckin' knob.

I was gonna say Coutinho money but to be fair you have already said Coutinho money........ :-)

Klopp on BBC "First is the best position you can be in. City don't look as if they drop a lot of points, so we have to win, to win and to win."

Hang on...last week second was best.
Haha,he is such a prick, that goes with i'd rather walk away than have to spend the sort of money the other teams do,he couldn't lie straight in bed

Klopp does not lie in bed. He sleeps in his stable.
Not that his mind is stable.

Herr Kloppycat;

"If only I had realised the error of my ways.
Why didn't I come round to Pep's way of thinking earlier than I did".

1. "It is better to spend money as having better players gives us a better chance of winning trophies."

2. "It is better to be on top of the league. Chasing from behind is far tougher."

3. "I should always play my strongest team.
We could've been at Wembley in an FA Cup semi-final now, instead of Wolves".

4. "Why do I listen to our crazy fanbase? It is like being in a cult".

"Frau Klopp! Have we any candles left?
I need to say a prayer to Bill Shankly, to apologise for dropping out of the cups and making this club look like Accrington Stanley"

Watching the penalty incident back, it was a penalty. Although he didn't need to go down(play acting can lead to refs waving play on because of clear theatrics) and the keeper really didn't need to do it. Mané chasing down a ball travelling away from goal, could only pass it or try a back heel from there.

Funny hearing all those in agreement that it should be a stonewall pen, the moment the keeper put his arm across, out of instinct having messed up... yet Robertson clearly did the same to Sterling when we played them. Arm across the midriff instinctively, as Sterling had completely done him when he pulled a heel flick off, to check his run and find some room to bypass the defender. They tried to say Sterling pulled Robertson down but the replay clearly showed that was after Robertson had put his arm across. Yet the commentators/pundits didn't call it as the replay was shown, it's almost like our pundits are being dishonest with the amount of inconsistency they show.

edit: I just noticed there is a hand on Sterling's shoulder, from the Swansea defender, before he was able to get a touch on the ball. That's a bit more like that Salah one at Brighton. Neither of those should be a pen in my eyes though. Almost every defender does it when they are trying to stick a foot on the ball, from behind the attacker.
