Liverpool have another 2 years as a team and will have to rebuild. Their top players are about 28 y.o, e.g. VVD, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Matip and Lovren, and the front 3. They have proably another great season in them if they don't hit a wall earlier.

When we replace Dinho, Silva and Aguero (2021) we will have a younger and hungrier team than Liverpool. Ederson, Cancelo, Laporte, Stones, Garcia, Mendy, Zinchenko, Rodri, Bernie, Foden, Raz, Gabby...are relatively young and can give us at least 5 years, some even 10 years. The aim is to beat them next season to the league and already this season to the CL.

Yeah..but who said that we can replace those players easily. Bernardo doesn't seem to be that good in the Silva Position. Sané might leave and who knows who is coming hopefully not that Real Sociedad guy. Another thing is that Liverpool is not nearly as deep as us but still somehow wins with players like Origi. Once Klopp leaves( if he ever leaves) they will lose their mojo. Until then everything is possible for them. Maybe they win the league twice in a row too. I can see VVD playing at the top until 34-35. Same with Henderson since he never was a good footballer anyway. U could say the same about us because of KDB. How long is he going to stay at this Level?

It doesn’t feel like an ageing team mate. They’re front three can go for a few years yet in my opinion. VVD got a two to three years as well. Their full backs are young. Goalie can go for a while. For me it’s Henderson and Milner that need replacing but ironically changing them could easily result in an upgrade. They are here for the next few years. We need to concentrate on us and see how we can improve and build another legacy.

Fuck this.. I’m fed up with this bollocks.. the constant media love in with them.. they aren’t as good as we have been these last few seasons. Haven’t got the bottle to play full out for every domestic title and have had way more than their fair share of luck with both injuries and especially VAR.

Adam Lalana just said they are the best team in the world.

Let’s shut him the fuck up by winning the league cup, FA cup and CL this season... then there will be absolutely no doubt who the best club in the world is.

oh and take back the Prem next season.

I’m fed up with them.. they aren’t even THAT good.

I agree mate they aren’t that good.
But then what does that make us?

We play the better football and on our day we are streets ahead but there is no denying it then winning the CL last season has given them a belief that makes them real contenders whether they’re good or not.

I said 2 years, so you agree. Speed is central to their attack and that's a quality which is not easy to maintain approaching 30. They won't become slow overnight but they are in their prime right now and will begin to slow down. Those seasons of incredible physical and mental effort will contribute to their decline.

Totally, agree, this year has been more about hard work...and yes some luck...but I reckon it also has something to do with not being pushed as much (YET!)
Last year the quality was better as was certainly the case with City and I think the two teams responded to each other knowing they had to keep performing. It's fairly obvious that City have been playing that quality football for the last few years so it is clear that year is something of a blip.
Just hope we break the 30yr streak and maybe next year can be another quality Prem season with both Liverpool and City playing beautiful football spurring each other on.

Beautiful football is what we all want, but there is also a place for seeing a good dogfight.... I was at The Den and watched Peter Reid and Terry Hurlock kicking lumps out of each other all day. Worth being there just to see them at it
you're going to change your style to play beautiful football by the start of next season? I'm impressed
