Everton would of scored first think they would of win comfortably main thing was that Liverpool side had bags of energy to close down Everton the whole game while this Everton side have played a lot of games of the Christmas period.

Tiredness could well have been a factor but it wasn't to blame yesterday.
A complete lack of any tactical plan and if there was one the players couldn't follow it and an inability to even make a simple pass was.
The BBC went as far as saying it was a master-stroke by Klipperty... like he expected to play the kids and win the game FFSWhich is correct.
Liverpool played really well but the story yesterday was a first eleven for Everton being so abject it was untrue yet our media and it is our media that is being discussed here instead want to go the other way and claim it as some sort of incredible Liverpool performance as if they where up against it for 90 mins.
We have obviously won plenty of cup ties the last few years on the way to winning comps and almost every time the narrative from the media has been "the opposition played poorly".
Its laughable.

To be fair, Everton had at least three situations where they should have scored. Could easily have been 0-3 at half time. They (primarily Walcott) exploited the space behind the fullbacks, and managed to create chance after chance in the break. It's the same thing Ancelotti did with Napoli. I'm not sure I agree his tactics were at fault. He exploited the space on the wings.
Liverpool adjusted a bit in the break, in an attempt to use the middle of the park more. They forced both Sidibe and Digne to defend really deep and when Everton got the ball they just couldn't get out of their low positions, basically making sure Everton member had the shape to exploit the spaces they found in first half. The Everton midfield was so sloppy and poor, and the wingers seemed clueless on how to help the team to transition.
Give Ancelotti some time on the training ground and things will look a lot better, I'm sure.
I imagine this to be more the case with Ancelotti in charge......Tiredness could well have been a factor but it wasn't to blame yesterday.
