We wouldn't be 22 points adrift, but we'd still be miles behind. Regardless of any beneficial decisions they've had, we've been well off the pace this season. Worryingly so.
Only 8 points off last season at this stage, and on course for 85-90 points. We won the league on 86 and 89 points. Scored 65 to last season’s 66 at this stage. Have got the best Xg and Xa figures in the league, way better than Liverpool’s.
Liverpool have had the perfect storm of a season, where they virtually score with every chance, kept a stable team, and have had decisions and VAR go their way at least 95% of the time. City have had the (im)perfect storm with injuries, profligacy in front of goal, conceding virtually every shot on goal, and shite VAR/referring decisions.
Don’t think we’d be miles behind given a fair wind.
