I keep reading on various footy forums(mainly dippers)that we were gutted when Chelsea hit the big time. Even though they've turned into hypocritical twats regarding FFP since, I don't remember any City fan feeling gutted over Chelsea's money. In fact, most were glad that we might have someone to smash the uniteds/Arsenals from the top. We welcomed it. Selling Sweep to Chelsea was a shite, but we were on our arse at the time.

I thought Chelsea spending was a breath of fresh air for the league. Any team that could take the domination away from the rags was a big plus, I did enjoy at the time the dippers giving them a few thumpings as well.

If you look at where we were, we’d just moved to Eastlands and I was still getting my head round how City could afford to pay big money for Anelka. We had Keegan in charge and there was a feeling we might be going somewhere. Then we had the shite from Pearce then Thaksin took over and it’s been upwards since then.

We won 4 trophies, The treble as used around Europe is CL+League+Big Cup.

I did specify we are the only winners of the domestic treble.

We haven't done the big one yet and it's clearly a bigger achievement than subbing the League Cup for European Cup.

We haven't outdone them there...yet.

I agree that the treble is a bigger achievement than the domestic treble. But there is something very very special about our domestic treble and it is that we achieved it while amassing 98 pts in the league (and also reaching the last 8 of the CL). Man United won the league in 1999 with 79 pts.

I don't care what Europeans think where the treble is concerned, the domestic treble for a lot of fans is the one to get, in fact we did a quad in reality.

To win the Premier League / First Division, the FA Cup and the League Cup in the same season is a nigh on impossibility in English football..!!

That's why no team has ever achieved it in well over a hundred years of trying..!

Oh, I stand corrected, I believe it's been done once.. can't remember when and who by though as I don't recall it being reported anywhere at the time..!

The dipshits continue to bang on about how their points gap is purely down to them and how this is the best team to ever grace the Premier League, conveniently ignoring the FACT that all other league challengers have been woefully erratic, and have lost games they would not have expected to have.

City have lost 9 times this season - Liverpool account for 1 of those.
Arsenal have lost 9 times this season - Liverpool account for 1 of those.
Chelsea have lost 11 times this season - Liverpool account for 1 of those.

That's EIGHTY SEVEN POINTS lost - of which LIverpool FC account for NINE of them.

Stop blowing smoke up your own entitled arses dippers - your points gap is more down to other teams being shit this season. FACT!
