Yeah the dippers looked well off the pace from 65m or so onwards. They've had a full pre season as well, a longer one than we had. Klopp's teams have burned out before (with deeper squads and more rotation), wouldn't surprise me after 4 seasons if a lot of them were running on adrenaline towards the back end of last season and are fucked this season. Would love to see them get a few bad results early to see how they cope.

He keeps going to the same players over & over, even bringing on Firminho last night, to bail them out.

As has been pointed out, it helps in the fact that his midfielders are effectively defenders, but it's remarkable that he's got to finals & 2nd in the league by running 3 forwards into the ground.

Usually, for most teams, that would cause them to break down & the ones who survive probably be patched up weekly, as with Aguero when Pellegrini crucified him. Perhaps soon, it will catch up with them & their luck will run out.

If it does, they won't even get top 4.

Despite not looking as dominant as last season, Van Dijk is still their defensive mainstay. If he gets injured they will drop points. Trent Arnold is also looking vulnerable, several issues for Klipperty to ponder over.

Got to give credit where credit is due. They have returned to be European superpower as they were back in the 1800s.

From that font of all knowledge the echo:-

LIVERPOOL was the European capital of the slave trade from the 1780s up to British abolition in 1807.
Mersey ships transported nearly 1.5m Africans into slavery – more than 10% of all known slaves transported by Europeans to the Americas and Caribbean.
of course they are entitled to crow about their illustrious past Littlewoods FC, Wonder how many slaves died because of that City?

Latest Liverpool news: Fans unhappy with FIFA’s fine for Manchester City

The question is.

Why are the Scousers still taking everything so personally when it comes to City?

Surely after winning the CL and the European Super Cup last night, they should be happy with the way things are going at Littlewoods, sorry Liverpool, and they really shouldn't be bothered about City.(anymore)

But let's be honest and get straight to the point.

Regardless of winning the CL, 6x's, European Royalty, etc, Liverpool fans want the PL title more than any other trophy. 30 years is a very long time to wait to be English Champions again.

City have stopped Liverpool winning the PL title on 2 occasions, if not on 3 occasions. (Liverpool finished 4th in the PL)

That's the real and only reason why Liverpool fans hate City so much.

The strange thing is, they claim that they’re not English, so why are they so desperate to win the English Premier League?

It just doesn’t make sense.
