Yeah, Henderson’s not even in the five best players at his own club, so it would be slightly farcical for him to be named the best player in the entire league.

Jordan Henderson is now the bookies favourite for player of the year. If nobody thinks what influence and sway a media push has then seriously open your eyes. For the record I’m not one who thinks Henderson is useless, just a work horse who gives it his all. Like the vast majority of football players. To declare him the best player in England this season would be criminal.

To talk about him as the best player in the Premier league is strange indeed. I think there are 10 players that are more important for their teams, and that have had a better season individually.

If Liverpool had not grinded out results, he would never have been considered, based on his performances alone. I think it's based on the romantic notion that every great team must have a leader that sets the tone (preferably English). And for some reason this view has been the story that the media runs with atm.

If the dippers go undefeated they will get a gold trophy. So I'd imagine whatever bits of gold is left lying around will be made into a special achievement award for top players who never won the league with their club

11 points the difference between relegation and 5th place Sheffield United. This season is one of those seasons we will have to take on the chin. You have to go backwards to go forward again. Reminds me of the 15-16 season, we had the capability and individual talent, however lacking the consistency to mount a title run.

My comment was tongue-in-cheek, as that is what we had to put up with two years ago, when we ran away with the title.
