So Klopp complaining that they can`t comptete in the League Cup because of fixture congestion.Below is their timetable for fixtures as per Beebs site :

Liverpool's fixture pile-up
* Premier League games unless stated
4 December Everton (h)
7 December Bournemouth (a)
10 December Salzburg (a) Champions League
14 December Watford (h)
16 December Week of League Cup quarter-finals
18 December TBC (Qatar) Club World Cup
21 December TBC (Qatar) Club World Cup
26 December Leicester City (a)
29 December Wolves (h)
2 January Sheffield United (h)
6 January Week of League Cup semi-final first-leg ties
11 January Tottenham (a)
19 January Manchester United (h)

So 12 games.
Guess what ?
Yep City 11 games within the same period.Last season we also had a long fixture list but these fuckers want sympathy. Now theres a fucking surprise.
Last season we had the following:
1 December Bournemouth H
4 December Watford A
8 December Chelsea A
12 December Hoffenheim H
15 December Everton H
18 December Leicester A
22 December Palace H
26 December Leicester A
30 December Southampton A
3 January Candlepool H
6 January Rotherham H
9 January Burton H
14 January Wolves H
20 January Huddersfield A

That's 14 games we played. Even if they beat Villa, then in the same time frame they will play 13 games so why are they bleating! Move the Watford game to the Friday night (December 13), play Villa on Monday 16.

Can we not drop their games to a manageable four so one a week and just award them the points for the rest?

How quickly they forget what our squad has had to cope with and how quickly its forgot how the EFL told us to fuck off when we mentioned a possible date change.

Regardless of how you perceive Liverpool or the Club World Cup, they earned the right to be there by winning the Champions League. They should be able to participate in that competition without too many obstacles. Suggesting they play Friday, Monday, then fly out Tuesday to Qatar and play Wednesday is ridiculous. Unfortunately there isn't much leeway in England due to the 2 domestic cup competitions, so whatever happens, they will have some pretty dire scheduling.

City would have had to have done the same if we'd won the CL. Sadly we dont have the sympathetic press the scousers crave.

Given their dislike for Arab states I am surprised they haven't boycotted it already. It's tough but that's football and why should other teams suffer. West Ham are already going to have to play catch up with teams around them as they were scheduled to play on December 20. More teams shouldn't be inconvenienced. Let him play his u23 side against Villa...
