I’ve said this before on the ‘How would you finish the season?’ thread. The PL’s strategy is to do just enough to have the dippers be mathematically certain of winning it, then they will can the whole season and ‘justifiably’ hand them the title. They’re not interested in finishing the whole season, just enough of it for the dippers to ‘win’.

Two years yesterday since we were crowned Champions. If we get to May 19th, it'll be two years without another English club winning a domestic trophy.The start of another week being the champions.

Oh dear. the 1 o'clock news has just said that social distancing may have to stay in place until there is a vaccine. There is no chance of football being resumed any time soon and even if the dips and the media got their way and tried to play games behind closed doors, the thought of thousands (millions according to the BBC's already written script) on the streets of Liverpool will mean the Government will not allow it.
So it looks like the title is staying with us.
