naive and short sighted but enough to harass the man and cause him to lose his job? in the context of social media what he said was quite tame in my eyes, for all the so called scouse humour it appears in short demand at times. the only reason he was sacked was because of complaints to his bosses and WMP.

Agreed.

Does that apply to the 100’s of Liverpool fans across social media who thought the coach attack was funny, played it down, thought it was nothing more than Liverpool fans supporting their team, and made disgraceful remarks and comments about Pep, the players, and Mancunian’s in general, after the coach attack?

Where were you on the BM, Liverpool thread, then?
I hadn't signed up at that time. I've made my position very clear on the matter.

If only the Liverpool Echo took as much interest in tracking down the bus wreckers :)

You can't openly back up the S*n newspaper's 'findings' on Hillsborough on Twitter. He actually wanted to stir it up and rile Liverpool fans and never considered any consequence of having 1000's of people disgusted and furious. What he did was naive a and short sighted at best.
So get him sacked, seems fair

Surely before the season kicked off and they looked at all the variables on what could happen to Liverpool’s schedule and moved it then as I’m sure they would get the viewers who ever they would be playing. It’s nuts this has been allowed to happen, and should have been better planned by the different footballing authorities involved.

without trying to defend Klopp here, this is precisely why he seems so fucked off by the shambles, according to them, they clearly flagged this to FA and co at the start of the season & the frustration appears to be the "well worry about it if it happens" approach from the FA & then they dont have time to plan anything, TV schedule etc done.

What's more worrying here is two dangerous precidents IMHO:

1) if a 24 hour window becomes acceptable, it becomes the norm. Sky could push to put city on MNF, the day before they are away in the CL - because that's what will get the ratings
2) The danger of using two first teams; could this become the case for a European superleague getting over the line, why not play two teams, in different countries over the same weekend. at that point football is dead

I'm sure there are way more horrible things being said on Twitter but you can't say Stalin was ok because Hitler was way worse.
I love watching football and love the banter. I have no time for the hate or violence and the such and will quickly call out what I see as wrong regardless of the team/person.

I think that clubs and players will have to take a stand, at some point. The players are soon at their limit and most Managers and players would back any club that decides to "revolt".

Or clubs could decline to enter meaningless competitions which are no more than vanity excercises and cash machines for the organising authorities .

But perhaps the dipper fans want the club being known as " World Royalty " so long as they win the hollow award ?

24 hours is ridiculous and unusual, but is there hard evidence that playing when not fully recovered causes injuries?
Serious question for any sports science types on here
We’ve lost half our team long before any fixture congestion
