Liverpool thread 2019/20

As this country prepares to offer a way out to three million Hong Kong residents faced with draconian attacks on their freedoms from China, it is worth remembering the role played by Standard Chartered, Liverpool's sponsors. They make much of their profit in Asia and openly expressed support for the new security laws. Much is made of the politics of Liverpool, both city and football club, but let's not pretend.

Jurgen Klopp may get the city, but those who employ him — let's just say they are comfortable in their world, too.

martin Samuel.
While Martin is right to criticise them, I don't think we can get too holier than thou on this particular issue. I mean we literally had the communist party dictator that's doing all of this shit at our training ground.

Miserable **** he's just won the league.

Be funny as fuck if he said right I'm off.
If he's feeling the pressure after just a week of being top dog then next season the pressure will be tenfold.

that's how I felt last night. They tried to have their moment, but we handed them the title when they weren't playing on a night game, they had their Covid celebrations in their own city whilst everyone else ignored them and carried on, then a week later as champions they get humbled and their moment is restricted to standing in our empty stadium, thanking VAR to themselves for not letting it be 5. Then, what's the motivation next year now "they've done it", the euphoria is gone, back down to Earth and everything they've hacked, dived and VAR'd for is consigned to empty stadiums and everyone else moving on to next season.

They've reached their Everest, the one thing they couldn't do and it's been and gone now. You could feel that in the performance last night, their moment has been and gone and it'll never be as sweet and as euphoric as they were desperate for it to be.

Brilliant Post.

Another deluded dipper who appears unaware of Liverpol's blatant cheating of FFP (twice). Not only did they get a free pass off their mates at UEFA both times but they fraudulently claimed £50 million of 'stadium construction expenses' against their FFP losses in 2015 for the non-existent Stanley Park project.
didn't they get a one year ban a few years ago for failing ffp but failed to finish top 6 anyway ?

great summary.....

According Transfermarkt they got Thiago from the arrogant Munich club. Good signing tbh. They needed someone who can do something with the ball.
