I'd nearly forgotten the imaginary league table, fucking hell that was desperate. The alternative league table was one of their best whoppers. They were always top ha ha
I was a Chelsea fan in those daysI was at York too
I think they could be for FFPR, the coutinho money is out of their 3 year rolling period, they've got a lot of amortisation from their big spending spree and then losses from COVID. Add in no CL money and a shite league finish and they could be tightening belts. Are they up shit creak financially without a top 4 finish? The way they were browsing the pound shop for centre backs in January suggests they haven't got a pot to piss in currently.
Klopp trying to make jokes about Everton today in his press conference for Leipzig game. Is this because he is grieving or as he is an utter bell end?
We will probably stuff it up but I really hope we beat them this weekend.
My cousin who's a City fan is so lucky, he was born in 2002. My uncle, on the other hand, has supported City for donkeys' and was around in the '90s when you got relegated. I'm glad he gets to enjoy his team winning stuff after years of despair. A City fan I know from synagogue feels like that as well - he's a bit older than me, but old enough to have been around in the '90s and get made fun of by rags. Everton are the other way round, but who knows, we might still win a trophy before I die.I'm banned at last but what makes me laugh is that 99% of their posters have only known success. You'd have to be in your late 60's/early 70's to remember them when they were truly shit and in the old 2nd division. Only our newest fans haven't experienced relegation and life in a lower division. Even a City fan in their early 30's will have experienced League 1.
To them, failure is not finishing in the top four and they're obsessed with this notion that because you've won this trophy that many times, that makes you "relevant". And that's the difference between us and them. They feel they're entitled to win things. We're just grateful for these great days we're having but it doesn't define us as fans. We know that we've been there for the club in those bad times. That's what defines us.
I hope Liverpool play the Everton who beat Spurs and not the Everton who got creamed by Fulham.Klopp trying to make jokes about Everton today in his press conference for Leipzig game. Is this because he is grieving or as he is an utter bell end?
