I work with a Dipper supporter. I'm sure we all do, or know someone close who is.

He's a nice chap.

But if he talks about them, it's usually in a similar fashion to that of Danny Murphy.

They can be 5 nil down against Aldershot, and despite having conceded these goals, they will have woven some outrageously fanciful footballing tapestry, that has just fallen short at the business end of the park.

They are all deluded and blinkered.

The one I work with doesn't go and bleats on nonstop about how we have no fans and Liverpool are only performing so poorly because there are no fans there.

He doesn't go to matches (in normal times).

I don't fucking get it. I don't have a problem with people supporting a club and watching on TV... I had to do that when I lived abroad... But how do the ones who don't go to games not see the irony in telling me (a season ticket holder) city are used to empty grounds, when he doesn't even go to watch his team?? When I point this out, it's because I can't handle banter apparently.

If he wants to talk bollocks without being a hypocrite he could at least prattle on about money and net spend or some bullshit. No self awareness whatsoever.

It’s like Scum referring to us as “Citeh” as if being a manc is worthy of taking the piss, rather than core to what we are, and they really don’t do irony. We are defiant in our previous travails and wear our hardships as badges of honour, to be celebrated as war wounds not hidden and denied through shame. Manchester City record attendance 84,569.

And we have had many, many other attendances higher than Liverpool's highest ever attendance.

If he wants to talk about attendances, or history ask the fuckwit to explain that.
