My cousin who's a City fan is so lucky, he was born in 2002. My uncle, on the other hand, has supported City for donkeys' and was around in the '90s when you got relegated. I'm glad he gets to enjoy his team winning stuff after years of despair. A City fan I know from synagogue feels like that as well - he's a bit older than me, but old enough to have been around in the '90s and get made fun of by rags. Everton are the other way round, but who knows, we might still win a trophy before I die.
I was at junior school when city won the 76 League cup final, by my mid 20's i never thought we'd win anything again. Keep the faith, Everton are a great club, you don't know what might be around the corner.

Dippers are just batshit crazy ‘football fundamentalists’ & their holy book full of ‘scouse prophet scripture’ is rawk.

Fundamentalism usually has a religious connotation that indicates unwavering attachment to a set of irreducible beliefs. However, fundamentalism has come to be applied to a tendency among certain groups – mainly, although not exclusively, in religion – that is characterized by a markedly strict literalism as it is applied to certain specific scriptures, dogmas, or ideologies, and a strong sense of the importance of maintaining ingroup and outgroup distinctions, leading to an emphasis on purity and the desire to return to a previous ideal from which advocates believe members have strayed. Rejection of diversity of opinion as applied to these established "fundamentals" and their accepted interpretation within the group often results from this tendency. (Wiki)
