The best team in the history of the universe** languishing in 6th place. Fucking brilliant.

Just watched Leicester’s highlights again, there isn’t a more unlikable bunch of cunts I’ve ever seen. Henderson, Arnold, Robertson, just a bunch of really arrogant twats who’ve believed their own hype and a media willing to blow smoke up their arse. Fucking shite they are.

** they have won 2 domestic trophies in the past 14 years to prove this, one being the League Cup.

They go on about "winning it 6 times", as though that's the only trophy that means anything. I was thinking about this last night and it's a trophy you can win without winning a single game (at least in 90 minutes).

In the group stage, of the 4 teams, Team A draws every game 0-0, gaining 6 points. Team B wins the other 4 games they play, drawing the two against A, and win the group with 14 points. Teams B & C therefore draw 2 against Team A and lose 2 to Team B, then each wins against the other, giving them both 5 points each. So Team A, without scoring a goal or winning a game, go through to the last 16.

In the knockout stage, they draw 0-0 at home and 1-1 away, winning the tie. They do the same in the QF and SF, meaning they've got to the final without winning a game and scoring just 3 goals. The final is 0-0 after extra time and they win on penalties. 13 games, 13 draws and 3 goals scored. That would get you relegated in the PL. Don't get me wrong, I'd be delighted to win it but winning the league is a far harder ask and much more of an accomplishment.

They had mine at weekend and lost to Fulham. Liverpool should be 7th but I’d love to see Everton take a CL spot. Especially if Liverpool missed out.

I can't make my mind up if I want the dippers to get the thursday cup place. It would be seriously funny if they missed out completely but it would also be great to see them burnt out flying to obscure hardly worth it places

Thing is should they end up in the Thursday Cup it will be like when utd were in it. The Thursday Cup will over night become as important or bigger than the champions league !

This was posted in the city thread on RAWK (sorry about formatting it’s that bad on there). Anyone a clue what the fuck this actually is? Other than wrong

Whilst what you say is correct, you haven't half made my head hurt.

To be fair, whilst the scenario above is possible, its very highly unlikely.

The "champions" league is harder to win nowadays when comparing it with the European cup,imo due to the seeding system for one, which virtually ensures the latter stages involve most of the heavyweight teams.
The days of Malmo and Bruges getting to the final are gone.
Along with the days of draws against the likes of crusaders or finn harps.

Winning it once, let alone six times is worth bragging about,to be fair, but I'd still rather win the domestic league title over it if I had to pick one trophy a season.

And they'd probably agree with you but ultimately we've fallen short in the CL and it's a stick to beat us with. Whether you're a fan of it or not I think we do need to win it sooner or later similar to that lot winning the league.
