Yeah - that makes sense. Piss poor stuff really. Literally strangling the league. They are losing Alaba I believe which will be there justification, but, he wasn't a centre back until he adapted in recent years and is also left sided.

He played in midfield as often as centre half. They're not only strangling the league they're hurting themselves. There's a reason so few outside Germany give a fuck about the Bundesliga and why Bayern have 2 CLs in 2 decades, the lack of competition hurts them on and off the pitch. But hey look they'll get their 40th league title or whatever it is now soon, Rangers will be looking over their shoulders.

Still don't get why you come on here, and just for the record your home city is my least favourite of the places I've visited, I know a few Dipper fans, one decent, the rest are pricks.

I worked with half a dozen Liverpool fans.


Strangely enough the only one who was a prick wasn't from Liverpool.

Was about 6 years ago so perhaps they've all gone bitter now I suppose.

Only been once, 2001, Barca v Real Betis who had world record signing Denilson in the team. We were sat in the top tier, it was a great atmosphere and you could get a beer and a hotdog in your seat. However, when the camera panned to Pique last night the seats were shabby and the stadium does indeed look a bit of a shithole, not as bad as Legoland in Trafford though.

Yeah also Clueless was convinced we needed premier league experience and we were never going to buy down. Since then though we've signed very few from the league, Sterling, Delph, Stones and that's about it at senior level.

I confess to having a thread on RAWK bookmarked.

It is their "Alternative Premier League Table" thread. For those who don't know, it assigns point values to home and away fixtures with different golf style ratings for the expected difficulty of the matches. It ain't perfect, but it's a system which usually tells a fairly accurate tale of who is ahead or behind in the race (when sometimes because of the shcedule it isn't always so clear).
I find it to be a useful way to track which teams in the title race are over or under performing what would be expected of a contender.

It may just be a coincidence or that something has come up in the OP's personal life (unprecedented times and all). But I find it peculiar how that particular thread has now been silent for 11 days when it has typically been far more active.

Yeah him too. We've pretty much only done it because of squad quota limits although we've signed top players. Bayern don't need more German players and they wouldn't sign a Delph or Stones as they wouldn't see Villa or Everton as a threat, they don't care if Augsburg or Köln have the next big thing in a position they need to strengthen. Right now they're thinking about who Leipzig, Eintracht and BMG can least afford to lose.
