My lad had asthma as a youngster and had to take a puff of Ventolin to be able to play a full game. Without it he simply couldn't manage it. Fortunately he grew out of it in his teens.

As an asthmatic I know you can also take corticosteroids to reduce inflammation in the lungs. If prescribed by the doctors they may have more advantage through performance enhancing steroids along with the ventalin to boost lung function. Long terms effects of ventalin include increaased resting heart rate and shaky hands (not quite to the extent of Parkinsons but watching me on one of the steady hands games in the old arcades was hilarious!)

He's a truly wonderful player but I just don't fear him going to City.
