What is it with these cnuts believing all the best players player for their poxy club

just scrolling through Twitter and noticed that Robertson was trending , a quick look and as sure as night follows day you’ve got post after post from them scouse divs saying that Shaw has one good season and that Robertson is the best left back in the league

The same with Dias when he won Fwa poty , VVD was trending

Same with KDB when he won footballer of the year Thiago was trending , which is actually pitiful

Football tribalism. There's a few of that insecure mindset on here.

The answer lies in why they attach themselves to these clubs in the 1st place. Desperate non-entities with zero self-esteem hoping for some kind of reflected sense of success in their otherwise desperately sad existence. So of course every player who plays for them must be the greatest at what they do in order to maintain the delusion and provide the comfort blanket.

Pitiful indeed.

oh, it says here that he’s a premier league legend ;-) Sorry, “PL” legend, maybe it doesn’t stand for what I thought lol….

I’ve never been so glad not to have a Sky subscription lol.
I am truly just a grumpy old bastard stuck in the past.
It is things like that from Sky and other media outlets that have me shaking my head these days. The whole use of the term "Legend" being attached to players that were simply average all to add to the big mythic picture of the wonderous beast that is the Premier League.
Its a little bit funny as my son was talking about a couple of players from the 90's/00's and used the term about a couple of players (One was Torres and the other Alonso).
Now both great players in my view but not sure I would class them as legends as for me that does come with time at the club, along with quality of player.
I'm sure that you wouldn't count the likes of Chettle or Stone amongst Forest club "legends", but may go for Clough (both), Walker, Pearce, Robertson...or maybe the whole of the EC winning teams?
I guess everyone will have their own view on who would be their club "legends" but the likes of Sky and the whole football branding machines use the term far to easily in my view.
