15/16 was a great year for the PL, not only for a new team to win the PL (Leicester), but as you say, united and Liverpool both missing top 4.

Can’t think when that happened prior to that?

I know what you mean as it's frustrating for us to see our team taking so much unnecessary bullshit from the tabloids and the media in general, but I just think we pick and choose the battles we're interested in and ignore the other stuff. Sticks and stones, and all that, seems to be out modus operandi until something worth commenting about comes along, and then it's a sensible, well thought out response.

Are any of you bothered? I'm not.

While it won’t quite be Boxing Day without a game (and it royally screws my fantasy team), this enables us to be at full strength against a decimated Leicester that will only have had 2 days rest. We’ll also be full strength (bar Robbo) against a weakened Chelsea side for which this will be their third game in a week.

Leicester and Chelsea away are far more critical to us in terms of the league title so this is a massive boost for us (provided neither of them get a cancellation). I suspect City and Chelsea fans are fuming about it.

We’ll deal with Leeds at home whenever.

Last night I watched episode 4 of All or Nothing. It covered the Christmas/Jan fixture pile up. Pep and the team were all focused and knew they had to get on with it. We had Sanè, Mendy, Delph Foden plus others all out injured. Not ONE fucking moan from any of them.

For me, the more opposition games that gets cancelled, the better. We'll keep getting the points on the board and before you know it we'll be 10 points clear. They may have 3 games in hand but other than January, there is no free midweek spots to play them. It'll come to April and they'll be playing Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Monday

I hope they reschedule all of their missed games to right in the middle of the AFCON. I genuinely think his head would explode.

The only free midweek they have in the short term is the third week in Jan, which is right in the middle of Afcon.

I think this too. Also, the dippers (team, manager and cult members) don't seem to cope as well mentally with chasing as they do with their noses in front.

They coughed up an 11 point lead in 18/19. Rafa choked on a 7 or 8 point lead of course. IIRC the only 2 sides to be top at Christmas and lose the title were both Liverpool, and we beat them both times.

They're pretty much shit at leading and shit at chasing and have been for the past 30 years with one exception.
