It’s always been a myth united and Liverpool hate each other
well, opposites attract... so they should repel each other. The 2 most plastic clubs in the country... both play in grounds that were given to them, rent free, for £0.00p.

As another respondent corrected me on this very thread, liverpool fc weren't just formed to fill a vacant stadium after Everton realised Houlding was taking them for a ride. He wanted a team in situ attracting fans so he could sell them the beer he produced.

Compare and contrast with the pretendamancs... on their way out of business, out of town brewing magnate John Henry Davies settled the debt that threatened to fold them, then built old trafford and gave it to them for nowt, on the condition that he had sole rights to sell his beer to match day crowds there (plus another couple of conditions- changing the colour of their shirts and changing their name to lie about an association with a city they'd never had anything to do with).

As the events described involving the club at the wrong end of the East Lancs Rd happened first, they are essentially the Red Bull Salzburg of their day... and then united copied their 'business' model.

I don’t know the guy, obviously, and on-line hate towards total strangers is nasty stuff, but the guy he chooses to be in front of the cameras is off-the-chart bonkers. They’ve just drawn a game of football, for heaven’s sake. Either he’s that crazy in the dressing-room, excusing poor performances and poor discipline by blaming it all on the referee (what did Milner think of the ref today?) and telling his boys how great they are, or it’s just a load of Pound-shop Mourinho Pantomime.

You have a go post-match at the referee, that’s standard fare. But to say the referee is “not objective” is accusing the referee of being corrupt. We say that in the stands, and on here, quite a lot, but Klub Shopp gets paid a barrow-load of Standard Chartered money to keep his shit together when things don’t go his way, and he’s just failed. He should be fined a lot of money. I wonder if he will be?
Personally I think Klopp is a fantastic manager. But I have heard from someone I trust, who knows a lot of people at LFC, that off the field he is totally ruthless and his private image is even worse than his public one. That said since when did a brilliant Manager have to be a nice person (Bobby Manc rattled lots of cages at City.)
When Klopp first went in to Liverpool he shook the club internally from top to bottom and, given they had not won a title for almost 30 years, he was precisely what they needed. It may well end in tears but he has done a good job for them.
