LOL, I cant remember the last time (Or the first) that I met a scouser (Or any other fan) that was in ANY way remotely interested in the human rights of anywhere.
Same here, every time Human Rights are brought up do what I do and ask them how many petitions they’ve started or how many protests they’ve attended as they care so much. You can probably guess the answer.

And that in a nutshell is why SKY and BT constantly give us bad press.

The rags are well off the pace, the dippers are clinging onto our coat tails and the tarquins are at best blowing warm and cold at the moment.

Armchair subscribers are threatening to switch off, SKY and BT are desperately trying to hang on to their money, thus hammering City at every opportunity.

City have taken football in England to a new level, the rumblings are already out there regarding not being able to now win the PL with 80 points..

Even Southgate has taken on board our blueprint and has managed to reach a WC semi and A EURO final.

City have MADE teams like liverpool, united and Chelsea raise their game to enable them to complete.

The PL regularly has teams in the latter stages of the CL competing against Europe's finest.

City are not cheats, they don't spend money they don't have like we always hear, what they have done however is built an infrastructure, put the right people in the right positions, employed arguably the best manager in world football and let him go about doing what he does best and assemble a team of first class players who play as a team in a system that has been coached into them.

The system is coached throughout the club at all levels which cements the chosen style of play..

All of this hasn't just happened, it's been planned from a long way back and has involved a lot of hard work and organisation..

The money in the PL today is the most it's ever been.

There is absolutely nothing to stop teams such as united, liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, spurs and even teams such as Everton, villa, West Ham, Leeds and now Newcastle having a go and doing what we've done.

Instead, the vast majority just do not invest in the team, take the money and then moan like fcuk about unfair everything is..

We haven't had a (fit / any) centre forward for 2 years, play a converted midfielder at left back and have one of the smallest squad of players to pick from.

It's not City's fault that they are 11 points clear at the top and 12 points clear of the media darlings..

Instead of whinging, the other clubs should take a long, hard look at themselves and ask if they are doing all they can to stay competitive..

united spend more than us on players, Maguire, Sancho, Ronaldo, Fred, Wan Bassaka, Cavani, van Der Beek, all either not good enough or are short term fixes.

On top of that, they are run like a corner shop.

liverpool haven't really invested in their first team for 3 years or so.

Same goalie, fullbacks and front 3, who constantly get flogged to death month in month out.

One has to ask where's all the money gone ?

Chelsea to be fair have spent and spent big.

Their management turnover however is only second to united which you would think cannot help ..

Arsenal, haven't spent anything of note since Artetta has been there. Their turnover is right up there with City's so again, where's the money gone ?

spurs, shiny new stadium, no investment in the team, directors and owners sill taking their dividends..

Everton, spent half a billion on ?

Employed a manager nobody wants, one step forward, 3 steps backwards..

Let's see if Newcastle can step up to the plate.

However, spending money to build a competitive first team isn't as easy as it sounds.

Hopefully they can get themselves in the mix just to piss off the usual suspects a little bit more..!

In conclusion, City haven't done anything that other teams cannot aspire to do, they've just made a commitment to invest in the team, the infrastructure, the stadium and surrounding areas to give themselves the best opportunity to be successful..

And boy has it worked out ..!
Excellent post sir / madam

I would hope that one of the lurkers from Rawk would copy that onto their form - but it won't happened - they would get banned for introducing reality

We are Liverpool FOOTBALL Club. We are not a sports washing vehicle for murderous despots who are willing to throw multiple billions at a reputation cleansing project. We operate within the rules of the game, but are trying to compete with a regime that doesn't.

They seem to forget that their own
Look at Mane on that picture… that’s the attitude… nose in the air arrogance, not an ounce of humility. They were led out by weird gob Henderson with an attitude that quite simply said “show me some respect bitches”. Compare and contrast with City being led out in such circumstances with either vinnie or Spanish Dave humbly acknowledging each player making up the guard of honour, with each player following in the same manner.
They deserved fuck all respect. Bernardo didn’t go far enough. What he should have done was necked his coffee then stuck his fingers down his throat and projectile vomited it at them.

I'd like to help you on how to avoid repeating posts but I am as bad as you.;)
Apologies everyone in a luddite

1 slight concern.

They have 2 games in hand, and have to play City at the Etihad. If they do haul the 12 point gap back, and go on to win the title, we'll never hear the last of it from the media and the Dippers. That's my nagging concern with 17 games - 51 points to go for us.

Guess we'll just have to win the league to be safe then.. ;)

And they are just fucking liars anyway - Liverpool was desperate for investment from Dubai back about 15 years ago - and the fans were gagging for it to help them compete again - especially after the Abramovich investment in Chelsea.

They are just full of 2-faced shit

Have to say, as ever, I do like your posts Bill (whether I agree with them fully or not). Thought out and in detail to get your point across.

I cannot agree more with what you have said in the fact that City and the owners have done things the right way. To some extent despite the era of money being king, they have identified that the club is connected to the area. Give something to that area and community and they will forge a bond that will last for generations. Surely what football is all about...or maybe thats me coming from an older generation?

The PL is a global brand...I almost feel dirty typing that... and the money it has produced means that there is nothing to stop other clubs doing exactly what City have done...spend money to make money. Rather than skimming and taking money out of the game. It does take a long term view.

Your post also has made me think about Liverpool during the 70s when I first started watching them. Without the internet and the mass media coverage that exists now, I wasnt aware of the financial background of other clubs. I know traditonally it was the local businessman made good that ran clubs and that Liverpool were fortunate enough to have had the Moores family to supplement the initial kick start from Houlding, but maybe need to look at what sort of comparative backing other clubs had at the time. Those days though are long gone and there is to a degree almost a level platying field now. So as you say, City have made other clubs think and spend money and no reason why the clubs mid table cannot look up and realise that they could be doing far better than they are.

They love talking about Human Rights as though the UK is better than our owner.

Only 15-16 years ago our country was complicit, at the highest level, in the kidnap and torture of at least one UK citizen. I don't think 'we' can moralise to anyone.

The fuckwits try and take comfort about the 'quality' of their fanbase and that they are a 'global brand' - not realising that status came from a period of dominance - just like CITY are now establishing in a era of far greater media-reach.

A lot of their posts say that they are going to stop watching PL matches now because they are not being allowed to win - some fanbase that is!!!!

This one on RAWK - innocently got it right - and made me laugh:

"Thing is, we can laugh at city’s support being non-existent, but in 10 years it’ll be different, globally. I already see increasing numbers of kids in the park near my house in Belfast wearing City tops. Success does that - We saw it with Chelsea previously.

I mean, I’m a Liverpool fan cos I was a kid in the 80s when they were brilliant. I’ve no familial affinity to the club or the city. In fact, my mum was born in London to a family of Chelsea fans."

I took a friend of my 14 year old to the game yesterday - who said that she was a Chelsea fan - on the train home she was talking about swapping to being a CITY fan.

The redscouse just need to try and get over themselves.
The tv era has completely changed the nature of fandom. Used to be about family, school, location, one bus journey etc. Now it's just who is good on telly.
