I went to an originally pleasant do today, didn’t know anyone else before going.
I was a lone nonscouse, it quickly transpired, but was fine whilst trying to adjust to the accent with a lot of background noise.
I got a little warm and unzipped my top , with a Citizens t-shirt underneath.
No issue, but one guy for reasons unknown, decided to play his phone ringtone to me… the tune from Carousel… odd.
Nothing else after that, and I had a good chat with another … until near the end and suddenly I was asked how long I’d supported City (implying it was recently), quickly followed up by ‘history’ (I replied simply 1894, and got some unrelated to Liverpool stuff about oldest stadium/club), ‘trophy room vs trophy shed’.
They jumped Straight in with it, out of nowhere, and completely unrelated to what was happening. Shame as up to that point it was good.
conclusion: nothing wrong with scousers, until football crosses their brain, whereupon they seem to have an inbuilt inferiority complex that comes over as wanting to be ‘superior’ and seems to consist of announcing unwanted stuff with no discussion or preamble.
Winning without binning. It’s time to acknowledge the dippers as a trophy collecting machine.
Here’s another massive achievement to go with the Net Spend trophy and the January Transfer window Cup.
Greenest club - green with envy :-)

No Blue should ever recycle.Environmentally friendly!!!
Does that include recycling empty bottles
The etihad is on a hill too. it's uphill from the Mitchell Arms anyway. No Blue should ever recycle.
A 2 degree rise in global temperature floods Liverpool and Manchester gets a beach...
He did but it was a bit more difficult driving on four bricks.Did you at least get home with your car stereo intact?

The Everton stadium in the Docks looks a little risky.
Leave the lights on at work.
maybe it will reopen some day. I never went.on a side note, i really miss the mitchell arms
Out by quarter finals!maybe it will reopen some day. I never went.
I used to go in the parkside and the Sherwood at maine rd. I was easily pleased then. I'd get a buzz just walking to Maine Rd to buy a ticket on a none-match day. All those times we queued up for FA Cup tickets and every time we'd get knocked out in the quarter finals.
Easy bet: Man City to lose on the first Saturday in Jan. Year after year or so it felt like.Out by quarter finals!
I remember when we’d be out before the Christmas decorations came down!!
What, they let him escape with their bricks - they need them for coach bashing!!He did but it was a bit more difficult driving on four bricks.
Churz. Clearly only two of us think so!Very clever.
Mitchell - ma belleon a side note, i really miss the mitchell arms
Some **** on fighting talk earlier calling it the real Liverpool derby.Mane v Salad final all over social media.
They will claim anything ha ha
A game that no-one outside Liverpool is interested in?Some **** of fighting talk earlier calling it the real Liverpool derby.
My Aunty and Uncle lived immediately next door to the Sherwood. I used to go and stay with them for a week and hang about outside Maine Road collecting autographs in the late 60's.maybe it will reopen some day. I never went.
