Without a doubt the Dippers have some of the most insufferable set of fans in the land.

I’m sure most of their fans are relatively normal. The Liverpool fans I know are, at least. Their problem is that they have a fair few followers who actually believe this sort of sanctimonious shite. That they’re somehow a more romantic, worthy club than any other that should be revered. It’s ludicrously delusional, and just invites ridicule and scorn.

It’s reinforced by the club and the media too - “this means more”/“mentality monsters”/“best itw in every position” etc etc.. so gives those voices backup. Although I’d agree that a lot of Liverpool fans I know personally are fairly level headed, at least face to face

I look at it this way, if they win all their 15 remaining games, we only need to win 11 of ours.

I think I'd take Salah, Mane, Diaz, Firmino, Jota and Origi over Foden, Sterling, Silva, Jesus, Delap and Mahrez


I'd also take Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson, Chamberlain, Jones, Milner and Elliot over Gundogen, Rodri, De Bruyne, Fernandinho and Grealish


I'd also take Alexander, VVD, Matip, Robertson, Gomez, Tsmikas and Konate over Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake, Zinchenko, Laporte and Cancelo


I'd also take Allison and Kelleher over Ederson and Steffen


It's just that Pep has them playing like a machine and rolling over the tiddlers with predictable but effective football. Aside from who they are that's what annoys me about them. They play in such a soulless and boring manner with players with little personality or real flair (De Bruyne excepted and Sterling and Silva occasionally). Aside from the De Bruyne shots, nearly all their goals feel the same.

The 2 full backs and Van Dijk are top quality but Van Dijk is about the run into a brick wall with his age. He'll start to pick up injuries and lose the speed that enables LFC to play a high defensive line without being vulnerable.

I work with one. Believes all that claptrap.

When Allison scored that header at West Brom last season, he said “that sort of thing only happens with special clubs like Liverpool and United”.

I mentioned how it happens loads and it even kept Carlisle in the EFL when Jimmy Glass did it, he didn’t have a clue what I was on about.
