Peter Crouch and Ferdinand were going on about them not being able to spend what City have, what is that all about. If I'm not wrong they spent a lot more than us in the last 2 transfer windows at least. They are competitive in that regard if not on the pitch.
Why are they allowed to deceive the viewers like this?
Circle jerking the murderers is endemic in the national media. No wonder they are compared to being like a cult.

Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen does not think it is all doom and gloom, however.

"Liverpool's strength is that group of players who have been to the trenches and won together. That takes years of building. Why is everyone talking about a refresh?" Owen said, speaking on BT Sport.

"I think Liverpool have got enough. Looking through their starting XI, there's nobody out there better than their goalkeeper. Their right-back is unbelievable, the left-back too, Virgil van Dijk is probably the best in the world when he is on form. Ibrahima Konate is brilliant.

"The front five are brilliant. Darwin Nunez was the hottest striker around last year. Cody Gakpo was one of the stars of the World Cup.

"When they bought Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino they weren't £100m players, they weren't the best in the world at the time. Nunez could be anything, he could be one of the best in the world in five years."

Dunno why the rest of us bother, they are the greatest bestest most brilliant group of players ever !!
@bluemoon32 Serious question. Have you copied and pasted that from a direct Owen quote or have you, for a laugh over your 10 o'clock brew made that up. If it's the latter it's as funny as fuck. If it's not, we'll I suppose it's still as funny as fuck because it is so wide of the mark.

The weedy little prick has no bloody idea. They have thrown away millions on forwards and still look impotent.
  • Carvalho €20m
  • Diaz €75m
  • Gakpo €60m
  • Jota €55m
  • Nunez €75m
Owen is either deluded or thick. Or both.
Basically he was trying to tell us the opposite of what has been staring everyone in the face all season. Is, and always has been, the worst pundit on telly IMHO.

Think pep has spent around 250/300m more than Klopp but now his net spend is better than Klopps! They earn similar so it’s down to the FSG

Whilst I would not disgree with your assessment of Owen Bill, all the pundits trot out the dipper propaganda regarding spending. and it's so bloody tedious and false.

It's like the rags really in so far that they can spend, but don't spend fixing the areas which need the most attention.

Always the same like night following day - they know their target audience will blindly lap up the shit they spout.

Now we have it amongst the distinct sound of several barrels being scraped.
If it wasnt for the Dippers the Premier League would have lost its 4th place ergo we should be feeling grateful towards the European Royals.

Think Chelsea should be taking some credit for that as they’ve won the champions league last out of the English clubs.
