It’s just ridiculous isn’t it?
‘ALWAYS THE VICTIMS’ HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HILLSBOROUGH, YOU LYING CUNTS!
HeyselI see on social media Liverpool fans claiming the use of "always" in the song implies fans are inappropriaty singing about Hillsborough; whilst failing to understand that fans are criticising their perception that they are always the victims. Clearly they were the victims of an horrendous police/Thatcher Hillsborough cover up, but there are many examples of their fans causing issues which they have failed to take responsibility for. The song therefore perfectly highlights this hypocrisy, without denigrating Hillsborough or denying that on that occasion they were blameless and victims of one of the worse cover ups in football history.
So does Riyad Mahrez…..Leroy Sane likes this post ;)

Can't be true, they wrote one of their most famous songs for Liverpool. Not one of them was/is a Liverpool fan.
John and George weren’t football fans, Paul is an Everton fan but not much of one and the only one interested in footy is Ringo and he’s an Arsenal fan.
