Granted, this isn’t exclusive to Liverpool fans - it was a Gillingham fan who brought it up - but I hate it when people claim they wouldn’t support their team if they went the way of City, or it would ruin football for them. Bullshit. If Liverpool got an Arab sugar daddy who won them trophies every season, I doubt loads of their fans would turn blue.

It's such a bizarre thing to come out with. They're saying they don't want somebody to come in and help the club compete with the top sides in the country, that's what everybody dreams of, particularly since the end of the days of sharing gate receipts.
What do these people think FSG did when they came in? Changed the structure of the club and put money in to sort put a team on the verge of going bankrupt.
If they throw in a bit of oil money talk too what they're really saying is they don't want brown people owning the club which says a lot about them and media manipulation.
Gillingham can get fucked too, probably worried about Wrexham and their wholesome white American sugar daddies overtaking them.
