The reason that I think that it will be a long time away for us is that we seem to have an approach that is different to the 'istree teams - we carry on investing when we are at the top
So did Chelsea and the rags, Liverpool spent a pile in the 90s as well, we'll fuck it up sooner or later, let's just enjoy it while it lasts.

Yep, until the rags left them in the dust, they were matching their spending pound for pound. When the rags broke the British transfer record for Andy Cole, the dippers responded by breaking it again with Stan Collymore 6 months later. And that single example illustrates why they won fuck all. Not because they spent less, because they spent badly.

Eventually we'll spend badly too. Txiki won't be here forever and if it wasn't for the rags being desperate to beat us to targets a few of Guardiola's signings wouldn't have been great either.

Just because certain players have been a disaster for United doesn’t mean they would have been a disaster for City.

Eergh... Arguable that tbf.
All banter aside with a proper bit of coaching Maguire would’ve been half decent for us. As would Alexis Sanchez.

It’s funny that almost every United transfer turns into a massive car crash but the common theme there is terrible coaching and a complete lack of vision at the club.

The opposite is the case at City of course.

I'll give you Maguire on an agree to disagree basis but Sanchez was finished, as is shown by how well the fucker Antony has done and that we booted Sancho.
