It’s a load of bollocks.I'm English by birth but half Irish (and some other stuff). My Mum always said as a city fan we should support Rangers as Celtic n Utd had a connection. As I grew up I realised it was all bullshit and I stopped my affinity for Rangers. I'd be closer to Celtic politically thesedays but for me it would be Man City first, religion after. So any team that had a connection to Utd I'd be against, as it where. But I'm actually not sure how true the Celtic/Utd connection even is if I'm honest?
We have 21 don't we?I think his point is Liverpool only have a squad of 17 players due to their financial constraits - where everyone else has 24.
City were even formed by Conservative Orangemen but that’s not something that has stayed with the club (I believe it was up until around the end of the Second World War but we also had a large Jewish contingent in our support). We have the odd Irish flags at City, usually with “City” written on them, I’ve heard Irish accents at City too and it’s not a problem whatsoever, in fact they’re blues and it’s their club as well.
We’re all just there for City and being a City fan is the only thing associated with going every week.
We don’t want sectarianism at our club, we don’t care if people have different backgrounds to us. if you’re coming to City with an interest in City then you’re welcome whoever you are.
It’s what I like about City, there is absolutely nothing political about us. You can be Tory, Labour, Green, SNP, even Sinn Fein…. Doesn’t matter as long as you don’t support sectarianism and don’t support bringing it to City. There’s probably been England flags with “MCFC” written across them and then an Ireland flag with the same message hanging yards away at City games before.
Liverpool fans brought Irish flags and sang sectarian songs at Rangers and sang about the Queen being in a box, as if they were Celtic to specifically be political.
That is totally different than bringing Irish flags just because you’re proud of being Irish and want to advertise Dublin Blues or whatever… which is perfectly fine.
Here is the 29 seconds that their minute silence lasted.....Everton didn’t feel the need to boo the queens minutes silence, did they?
They used to play each other in pre-season and for each others players’ testimonials a lot and there’d be loads of them coming down to Old Trafford and they’d get on with each other well.I'm English by birth but half Irish (and some other stuff). Ha ha, that was fucking mental, even for them.I wonder if that balloon who devised the Banking points theory is still about.
City beat Brighton but they were expected to win anyway so a nil point gain.
The European Royalty may have lost but there is an allowance for adverse results due to crippling injuries, long grass or rank bad VAR. Therefore a nil point gain.
Summary -The Dipper quantum Theory declares City have not increased the lead on the Mentality Monsters.
95% of Americans claim to be Irish on 17th March35% of Manchester are of Irish descent.
Think England and their fans do tend to bring political shite as do Serco fcThey don’t want to be English or British, they also flew Irish flags.
Their anti government crap and the aforementioned nonsense is quickly turning them into the English version of sectarian Celtic.
The good thing about English football as it doesn’t have any political shite in it… yet these lot are desperate to include it.
As quickly as they do it, the quickly they’ll become every team’s number one hated club, if they’re not there for most already.
