He’s right though Rodri had a quality season last year. How come Allison got in when City conceded fewer goals and Ederson ended up with the golden glove?
Mate, i nearly lost my cool when that **** Owen kept on humiliating himself on national television after they got fucked in the UCL final, that Liverpool was the better team.

he was asked three times.

They kept saying, Yes Michael, but they lost.

I know but..

Just honestly.. hopeless.

The weirdest thing about this is the arrogance.

Ok so let's just presume for a minute that Jesus Christ is the Lord and saviour of humanity, the creator of the Universe and the one true God. Imagine the shit the guy has on his plate. But this lad reckons that he's going to come down on his side for a footy game. I don't know how these people think it works - if more City fans pray than Liverpool fans does that mean we win? What if more Liverpool pray pre-match but we hold a tens of thousands strong vigil during the match - do we win in extra time?

I need more information on this shit
I'm waiting for the club to be accused of giving the almighty a back hander. Wonder what currency they use up there, it's another great excuse for Bingo to add to his card.

So lets get this straight, klopp insists that god must be a City fan, and the last few pages discuss how the dippers insist jesus is a dipper fan??

A few "almighty" rows going on up there then.

Having said all that, isnt scouseland heavily catholic, and dont they believe in mary mother of god or something like that?

Religion has always confused me though, but if you are calling for divine intervention to help your team out, you are getting desperate.

Off all the wrongs Sky have done to traditional football, the overhyping of this particular fixture is the one I find most galling.
The build-up receives the sort of coverage that was once reserved for the FA Cup Fnal. Presumably, Sky's marketing people picked it out as the league game that (like the Cup Final, the Grand National or the 100mtrs Olympic Final) has the potential to transcend the sport itself and permeate the broader consciousness. Fair enough, we can all see why they'd do that. They want to maximise return on their investment, don't they?.
Trouble is, it hasn't permeated the brosder consciousness. Nobody bt a fan stops what they're doing for thos game like they do the great sporting institutions mentioned above). That's because tthat sort of public reaction cannot be manufactured - particularly not if the actual product is substandard (and the games themselves are invariably shite) or there is no glittering prize at stake (they've hardly ever gone head-to-head for any trophy).
So it comes down to selling the concept through the media of overexcited presenters, yet another montage of sepia-tinged photos interspersed with faux-sepia-tinged clips from the PremierLeague era followed by misty-eyed pundits gaslighting the viewer about 'respect' and 'history' and all done with an unwarranted headache-inducing overuse of the word 'rivalry' (in case the viewer might possibly forget).
It's such cringeworthy bollicks - and your right. It's never going to change. We're fucking stuck with it. They have created a monster of a myth that none of the interested parties (Sky and the two clubs) can afford to stop feeding now.
Growing up in Manchester in the 60s and 70s the Liverpool rivalry was not a big thing at all. In those days it was definitely all about City/United. United also had a bit of a North-South rivalry going with Spurs and Chelsea as well and all of us hated Leeds.
The myth started with Alex Ferguson who fabricated the rivalry to motivate his own team and belittle City at the same time. It has since been fuelled by the media and I don't doubt for one minute that globally (especially in Asia) United/Liverpool is big box-office. Meanwhile United fans can't stop singing songs about City considering they don't care about us.

You can add Ireland to that. Hence why we call it the Ryanair Derby when they play each other. Guaranteed to rile most local United fans that one. A mate of mine even has his German mates using it!

I like this one from rawk, its just,... so good and true.
Just popped in to say what a shower of cheating, horrible c*nts these are and no matter how many trophies they win, it's all built on cheating to a level we'll never truly know.

They absolutely robbed that league last year, crooked as fuck against Arsenal and Everton away with the referees, never let it be forgotten.

Most of us blues would have prayed for devine intervention at one time or another

As ever on rawk no shame whatsoever. It's fair to say that littlewoods have benefited from far more dodgy decisions than us.

It's only a matter of time before these numpties claim that the Blessed Virgin Mary has appeared on the Kop as an apparition and that all illnesses can be cured by a visit to Anfield.

These people are more full of shit than a blocked main sewer.
A virgin in scouseland?

During the Liverpool years of dominance their fans were praised in the media as the most knowledgeable, sporting fans in football ... until they started to lose. You only sing when you are winning was made for them, then they turn.

Other fans are expected to listen to YNWA in silent reverence when Liverpool fail to respect others. Their shameful history of violence and intimidation goes way beyond any other club including the rags.

Other English clubs have suffered from their legacy, not least from the ban in Europeans competitions. They do still have cheerleaders dominating the media along with the rags. No surprise that allegations never come to light of dirty tricks, underhand actions and financial threats and incentives to influence, compounded by a lack of transparency about their affairs. Both now cling to City's shirt tails to remain relevant.

Not all fans are bad but I go back to the Busby era and Liverpool are the worst by far and have been for most of the time.
