Yep and when they bought it.. top players were costing 30-40 mil with generational players costing 80 mil.

With inflation over a decade top players are now over 100 mil each and generational will cost more like 200 mil. That's per year and going to keep on inflating.

They can't compete with that kinda money. They got lucky with the Coutinho sale papering over the cracks and got lucky they got Spurs in a CL final and an injured City season to win their PL but otherwise it's not a legitimate top club.
I'll agree that they were lucky with getting what they did for Coutinho and luckier to encounter a frail Barcelona side who let a winning 3-0 lead slip at Anfield but they have been strong opponents and would have hoovered up multiple league wins if Pep's City had not been so strong.

They have not been pleasant or sporting rivals to contend against but they have been a top team for the past few years. Hopefully they will fade back into competing for top six with a declining team and business model.

Bless em fook of rob harris

'... Manchester City is being funded from Abu Dhabi' does not equate to 'state owned'. You might as well say the scouse cult are 'state owned' being 'funded from' the United States. I'd suggest Harris is a fucking moron but for the fact that he knows exactly what he's doing with this kind of disingenuous shite.

I think we should buy them out . Turn it into a Scouse theme park , call it DeDoDatDontDey World.
We could have a maze where people could try and find someone with a 'job'.
Another ride could be where you throw bottles and fire flares at a bus as it drives past.
One could be an adventure area where you scale a fence or squeeze under a turnstile .
Admission would have to be free.

So FSG did not get the Super League they hoped for, and as a consequence they want to sell up. That sounds like other US companies will be queing to buy what is not considered a good enough investment by John Henry. FSG will not be giving Klopp a large transfer kitty anytime soon if you ask me.

Thing is if they got new shareholders in to invest then them shareholders want instant profit returns or dividends for their investment? They also may have no interest in funding huge transfers and wages? Silver lake invested in the CFG for not only the exposure but also to work with ADUG across the world on other projects like the CO OP arena? There is huge opportunities outside of football in an alliance with sheikh mansour, khaldoon etc?

He's just another of the typical media whores who suck the dipper / rag dicks.

The funny thing is silver lake would have been perfect for the dippers but they are far to into things with our owner now?
