And Dave Whelan. What's Mike Ashley up to these days?
I'll agree that they were lucky with getting what they did for Coutinho and luckier to encounter a frail Barcelona side who let a winning 3-0 lead slip at Anfield but they have been strong opponents and would have hoovered up multiple league wins if Pep's City had not been so strong.Yep and when they bought it.. top players were costing 30-40 mil with generational players costing 80 mil.
With inflation over a decade top players are now over 100 mil each and generational will cost more like 200 mil. That's per year and going to keep on inflating.
They can't compete with that kinda money. They got lucky with the Coutinho sale papering over the cracks and got lucky they got Spurs in a CL final and an injured City season to win their PL but otherwise it's not a legitimate top club.
'... Manchester City is being funded from Abu Dhabi' does not equate to 'state owned'. You might as well say the scouse cult are 'state owned' being 'funded from' the United States. I'd suggest Harris is a fucking moron but for the fact that he knows exactly what he's doing with this kind of disingenuous shite.Bless em fook of rob harris
