My feelings for royalty aren't good, that's my choice....what I'll not do is force that or be disrespectful to others who are pro monarchy....I sat down during the God Save stuff, I wasn't in my own but nobody I could see was making any anti royal noise which is as it should be.

I sat down too, think there was only me and a friend on my row who did. No one booed, but I don't think many sang either.

At every sporting event the world over if a National anthem is played you are asked to stand and respect it.

If you can’t, especially for your own out of some political class war/envy then you can fuck off as far as I am concerned.

It appears to me that your enemy is my friend type of thing, they wont call them out because they are a means to an end.

It must piss them off that the monarchy is so popular and their view of the world just isn't happening for them.

Technically, booing anything is disrespectful. That’s the very point of doing it, surely. Booing a tribute to the dead is clearly a bit different to booing the national anthem though.

I’m not defending the Liverpool fans who booed today, btw. I’m not really arsed either way. Personally, I just sat for the anthem at our game, as did a few others. Some sang, a couple booed, but each to their own.

They can do what they like.

They must not get upset though when it comes back to bite them and their actions are called out.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the only thing that irks me is that some media organisations, like Sky, seem reluctant to even mention it. Will be interesting to see if MOTD gloss over it later too.

It’s career ending and they know it although Sky websites are running now it was disrupted.

I doubt many printed journalists will touch it though, unless in agreement with them which I’ve little doubt the usual will do.

I’m not bothered about them booing, they can boo what they want. But when we booed the bloody Champions League tune it was made a big thing by the media, sky commentator didn’t even mention it.

Where have I said that? Im English, although Im not proud to say that at the minute given the state the country is in and watching the Tory government grind it to its knees. But I find it fascinating that people are obsessed by an anthem being booed when our prince who was strutting around in full dress today like nothing has happened, is a paedophile. I wish people would get that angry about things that matter in the world.

The Royal family dont give a flying fuck about you, me or the next person on the street. I dont give a fuck about them. I wouldnt boo personally but im not going to get in a rage about people doing so.

The sheer hypocrisy of the red dippers who are so quick to point the the finger at others about ruining football and have no shame at all in relation to what happened in Belgium to the 39 that died and the impact on their families to this day! They feel they have a divine right to dictate the national pulse on all matters because it means more? do me a favour!

The lack of self-awareness in that club is breathtaking.
