Well, you may laugh but I was on for a 2 year contract with them at £50k per week until some busybody in the admin office discovered the typing error in the letter they sent.. (Same thing happened when I was once offered the job of Chancellor of the Exchequer.. just my luck!)

There won’t be any. They will just ignore it. They will not report or comment on it. He and Gerrard will get a free pass. As we know the media and the press are terrified of anything connected to Liverpool FC.

A big part of their problem is that they are in denial at multiple levels. All this 'sportswashing' bollocks from the fans who were begging Dubai to buy them - is just that - bollocks

It is their latest attempt to see themselves as special and take some high ground - it also helps fuel their victim status.

The reality is that if the Sheik had bought them they would be over the moon - they are just utter hypocrites.

And then all of a sudden they see Firmino go to KSA - and then their previous cult hero Slippy - and then their current cult hero - it just makes them have to face up to the simple fact is that they lie to themselves all the time as they seek to see themselves as special - when they are increasingly not even relevant

They are not even real fans - so many of them using this false bollocks about sportswashing as the reason that they are going to stop watching football - the reality is they are soooo self-entitled that they feel that they have a right to be top 4 be in the CL and challenging for the titles and if that is not the case they will blame it on sportswashing rather than they are simply not run well enough

In summary - bunch of cunts
