The only decent dipper poster I recall on here was
@LGWIO, every other has been the usual triumphal gobshite who start off seemingly intent on a football conversation before escalating to more pointed criticism of City, before finally resorting to being outright offensive and aggressive about our successes, players, support, and every other topic under the sun.
In short, the thread will quickly deteriorate to RAWKish levels and require mod attention to clean it up.
They simply cannot help themselves and imo seldom provide anything of value .
Call and I shall re-appear from the (relative) safety of "Off Topic".
I'm sorry to say that night shifts this week prevented me from getting online last night and indulging in my "triumphant gobshite" persona!
I only actually got to watch the first half last night before havig to drive in to work. What was spooky to my mind was that we scored just as I was heading over the Glenshane pass, exactly the same as when Gini scored against Barca. I'm thinking at the risk of missing watching it I may have to plan night shifts/commutes more carefully.
My personal take on last night was that RM were poor. Shorn of Rodrygo/Vini/Carvajal etc they werent the attacking threat you would normally expect. Therefore you cannot start going on about being best in Europe or World as I heard Agbonlahor say this morning...and Im sure I am like many of you lot...Gabby is a tosser. I think Trent being injured for last night was a bonus as Bradley is a far better defender. I bet Mbappe was hoping Trent would play!
At the level we are all playing at, it is only small margins that make the difference and as much as things are going well at present, they have gone well and up until 6-7 games ago, had gone well for City. So it can all change very quickly.
As
@cheekybids says, you havent turned into a bad team overnight and once more players get back from injury the city machine will click back into gear. take Rodri, that massive cog in the middle out, and you may be able to put a lesser substitute in there, but then take out so many others who provide Rodris back up out, and you are bound to face issues. The coaching and the skills level of the players doesnt change, its just finding a way to tweak to fix that temp issue. An issue that we/Liverpool could equally face next week or in a months time.
I said it a few weeks back. I still recall that night at Palace and seeing Gerrard slip...so take absolutely nothing for granted.
I still think it should be a good game on Sunday and still think it will be our toughest game of the season. Even if we do win on Sunday and its 11 points, or even if it were 15 points...its still not even Christmas and all could change if we then go on dont win for 6-7 games in a row.
Now......where was I...."When you walk through a storm........"
I'll gte my coat....
